Before you pay a booking amount or an EOI anywhere in Gurgaon, take ten minutes to check the project's registration with the Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (HARERA). Here's how we walk our own clients through it.
1. Get the registration number in writing
A registered project has a number that looks like RC/REP/HARERA/GGM/752/484/2023/96. That one is Ganga Nandaka's. Ask for it on the brochure, the application form and the agreement.
2. Look it up on haryanarera.gov.in
Search the Gurugram bench's list of registered projects. Check that the promoter name, project name and sector match what you've been told.
3. Read the dates
The registration shows a completion date the developer has committed to. That date, not a marketing brochure, is what you can hold them to.
4. Check what's covered
Registrations can cover one phase or several towers. Make sure the tower you're buying in is included.
